Despite a median sales price of $415,000 and an average sales price of just under $500,000, 63% of the sales within the City of Boulder close for under $500,000.  In the wider window of Boulder County the data is even more definitive; 78% of all properties sell for less than $500,000.

Boulder County is known to be an expensive area for houses with many large and beautiful homes however, just 4% of the market in the 2nd quarter of 2012 was over the $1 million mark.  In the City of Boulder 6% of sales were over $1 million.  The graphs represent research on a quarterly basis on residential properties (both attached and single family) in the City of Boulder  and in Boulder County.
